Bowen Collinsville Business Awards

The best of the best in the local business world were honoured on Saturday, 29th of August in a gala affair in front of a sell-out audience.

The third annual Bowen and Collinsville Business Awards, hosted by Bowen Tourism and Business were held at the PCYC.

Some of the awards included: Large business of the year, small business of the year, employee of the year and Apprentice/Trainee of the year, which was taken out by TORGAS Trainee Julian Finlay, who is hosted with Queensland Country Credit Union. Julian was recognised for his genuine interest in his work and a desire to succeed.
Julian is completing a Certificate III in Financial Services in the QCCU Bowen branch which he commenced in November 2014.
The runner up title was awarded to a TORGAS Apprentice, Glen Meier who is a 4th Year Electrical Apprentice, hosted with Bowen Coke.

“Julian and Glen are great! It’s wonderful to see their efforts have been acknowledged and they are both very deserving of the recognition,” said Greg Archer, TORGAS Bowen & Whitsundays Coordinator.
