Electrotechnology Pre-Apprenticeship Program

  

In conjunction with Energy Skills Queensland (ESQ) and Careers Australia, TORGAS is excited to be involved in this excellent training opportunity, further enhancing your prospects of becoming an apprentice in the Electro-Technology Industry.

Some of the Program details are as follows -
Dates : 26 March to 6 July 2012;  
Times : 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday;
Qualification: Certificate II in Electrotechnology (UEE22010);
Venue: Careers Australia, 602 Ingham road, Bohle, (12 weeks)
TORGAS Host Business, (4 Weeks)

Cost: All you need to provide is a pair of steel capped boots, and the cost of text books
The course is fully funded by ESQ; TORGAS will provide you with a Safety Shirt and Safety Glasses;

This is a unique opportunity for candidates wishing to commence a career in the following industry sectors -

- Appliance servicing
- Electrical machine repair
- Electrotechnology Technician
- Electronics and Communications
- Instrumentation and Control
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Data and Voice communications.

Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be invited to register for a TORGAS Apprenticeship; a Certificate II Electrotechnology qualification is regarded very favourably by industry as an excellent ‘Career Start' program. Combined with the 4 weeks Vocational Placement, fully supported by TORGAS Field Officers and Careers Australia Field Staff, a graduate of this program will have significantly enhanced their career prospects.

There are only 16 places available and applications should be completed and forwarded to TORGAS as soon as possible.
