TORGAS the Apprentice and Trainee Specialists each year makes a significant contribution to the community by providing quality apprentices and trainees to community based projects. TORGAS is proud to be associated with the following projects:
Providing Electrical apprentices for the building and construction of the Queensland Cancer Council Palliative Care Centre in Townsville
Providing Commercial Cookery apprentices for meals on wheels
Providing Building & Construction apprentices for the restoration of historical houses for the Historical Society
Providing Building & Construction apprentices for the building of the Service Memorial at the Strand
Providing in-kind support for the Quadriplegic and Paraplegic Administration Centre
Providing Building & Construction apprentices for the construction of concrete evacuation paths at Garden Settlement Retirement home
Providing Building & Construction apprentices for repairs and maintenance for Christine Court units for the Aged - for the Uniting Church
Funding the purchase of an electronic lath for Pimlico State High School
Providing funding to Pimlico State High School to purchase 3D modelling machine
Providing funding and coordinating support for the Smart Futures for North Queensland [SF4NQ] Try-A-Trades.
Providing TORGAS services for over 27 years to 29 High Schools for subject selection nights, career advice talks, mock interviewing, vocational pathway mentoring, and career expos
