What a night to remember the 2011 TORGAS Mackay Awards.
The Mackay Awards is a chance to recognise the apprentices and trainees who have excelled in their apprenticeship or traineeship.
This year the awards were held at the stunning 5th Floor Restaurant at the Central Queensland Institute of TAFE.
Finalists from around the region gathered with their host businesses, training providers, sponsors, family and friends to celebrate 'Skilling the Best' of the Mackay Region apprentices and trainees.

Most Outstanding 3rd/4th Year Apprentice of the Year
Mr Clive Joss, Regional Manager Sunsuper, Tammy Clarke Most Outstanding 3rd/4th Year Apprentice of the Year, and Mr George Peever, CEO TORGAS
Look out Donna Hay, Tammy Clarke the winner of the Most Outstanding 3rd/4th Year Apprentice of the Year award has all the right ingredients for becoming a great chef. Tammy a fourth year apprentice chef has real passion and drive for her industry. Tammy is hosted by Southern Suburbs Leagues Club in Mackay.

Thomas Woodman - Most Outstanding School Based Apprentice of the Year. Thomas is hosted by MTU Detroit Diesel in Mackay.
Mitchell Rimmington - Most Outstanding 1st/2nd Year Apprentice of the Year. Mitchell is hosted by Crokers Truck Centre.
Andrew Worthington - Most Outstanding 2nd/3rd Year Apprentice of the Year. Andrew is hosted by Cummins - Mackay
Jayden Taylor - Most Outstanding 2nd/3rd Year Apprentice of the Year. Jayden is hosted by Bulk Sugar Terminal - Mackay.
Tammy Clarke - Most Outstanding 3rd/4th Year Apprentice of the Year. Tammy is hosted by Southern Suburbs Leagues Club.
